Underground crossing near metro station Yeritasardakan to be renovated

An underground crossing in downtown Yerevan at the intersection of Abovyan and Isahakyan streets next to the metro station Yeritasardakan will see a major renovation, according to Arthur Gevorgyan, head of Information and Public Relations Department of the municipality.
YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. An underground crossing in downtown Yerevan at the intersection of Abovyan and Isahakyan streets next to the metro station Yeritasardakan will see a major renovation, according to Arthur Gevorgyan, head of Information and Public Relations Department of the municipality.
He said the repair began a few days ago with dismantling shops and kiosks, located in the underground passage. He said the project is being handled by private investors. He also said he could not specify when the repair will be over and how much the investors are going to spend.
According to him, the renovation will result in modern shopping facilities. As for the booksellers, who are located in the passage, Gevorgyan said they were offered to resettle to another underground crossing at the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Grigor Lusavoritch Street and to a public garden on Mashtots Avenue. -0-
