YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which is expected to ensure the release of hostages and prisoners on both sides.

"We hope that this agreement will play an important role in ensuring the security of both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples and will pave the way for comprehensive peace and stability in the broader Middle East region. We highly appreciate the mediation efforts of the international community, especially the United States, Qatar, and Egypt, which led to this important milestone," the ministry said in a statement on the social media platform X.
