Yerevan City Council elects new vice-mayor

At its session held Tuesday, the Yerevan City Council elected Sergey Nersisyan as its new vice-mayor. As many as 47 votes were cast for his candidacy, 0 against and one member of the council abstained.

YEREVAN, September 8. /ARKA/. At its session held Tuesday, the Yerevan City Council elected Sergey Nersisyan as its new vice-mayor. As many as 47 votes were cast for his candidacy, 0 against and one member of the council abstained.
The newly elected vice mayor will oversee the financial and economic block in the capital's administration.
Before that, Nersesyan worked in the administration of the National Assembly of Armenia as an assistant to Yerjanik Hakobyan, an MP from My Step faction. He has many years of experience in finance and investment at private companies.
His predecessor Hayk Sargsyan terminated the vice-mayor duties on July 15 this year in connection with the transfer to another job in the private sector. --0--
