Political analysts from Armenia, Russia, Belarus and Iran will gather in Yerevan for a three-day conference December 18-20 to look into security and cooperation challenges in the South Caucasus.

YEREVAN, December 11. / ARKA /. Political analysts from Armenia, Russia, Belarus and Iran will gather in Yerevan for a three-day conference December 18-20 to look into security and cooperation challenges in the South Caucasus.

They will, particularly, discuss  the prospects for creation of a South Caucasus regional security system, look into Iranian- Turkish relations against the backdrop of the Syrian crisis, discuss the geopolitical implications of the Eurasian integration process for the Greater Middle East and try to determine the current state and prospects for a resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

Prior to the conference, on December 17th , director of Armenian Noravank think tank  Gagik Harutyunyan, the executive director of Russian PolitKontakt research center  Andrei Medvedev, the  director of the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Middle East Kayhan Barzegar (Iran)  and some other experts will convene a news conference at Novosti international press center. 

The conference is organized by PolitKontakt  and  Noravank  centers. -0-
