Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 9492, eight new deaths in one day

As of 11:00 on Monday, June 1, there were 3,402 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 9,492 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 139 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 210 new infection cases, 16 recovered patients and eight deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.

YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Monday, June 1, there were 3,402 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report. In total, 9,492 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 139 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 210 new infection cases, 16 recovered patients and eight deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.
According to the report, 58,668 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 5,896 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.
The health ministry says that the patients who dead yesterday were five men aged 81, 81, 63, 65 and 67 and three women, 82, 73 and 69. All of them had chronic diseases. As many as five coronavirus-positive people died over one day not from COVID-19. In total, there have been 55 coronavirus-positive people have died from other diseases since the beginning of the spread of COVID-19.
The state of emergency, introduced in Armenia on March 16, 2020 and extended to May 14, is again extended until 17:00 on June 13 inclusive. -0---
