Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed Wednesday a number of the laws amended by the parliament earlier.
YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed Wednesday a number of the laws amended by the parliament earlier.
Notable amendments to the law on the mandatory funded pension system, to the tax code and the law on charity were among them.
The amendments to the law on the mandatory funded pension system increased the government’s share in the system from 5% to 7.5%, while the share paid to citizens is shrunk from 5% to 2.5%.
The amendments to the charity law initially were strongly opposed by Tsarukyan faction MPs, some of which though that the amended law will reduce room for benevolent activities, especially ahead of elections. -0---
