YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. The Armenian prosecutor general’s office, responding to the abuses found out by the Control Service at the High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC, has opened a criminal case, the press office of the service reported on Tuesday.
On July 3, David Sanasaryan, the head of the service, sent the results of the scrutiny to the prosecutor general.
“It has become known from the adduced evidence that copper wire of the total weight of 26.1 tons and cost of AMD 52 million (around $108,000) is missed from the autotransformer owned by the High Voltage Electric Networks and deployed in the Energy Repair OJSC’s territory in 2007,” the prosecutor general’s office says.
However, according to the report, not a single act written since then has mentioned the absence of this wire.
Besides, the examination of the Energy Repair territory revealed that it is possible to penetrate here only with a special pass.
Taking into account the evidence of gross embezzlement, the prosecutor general’s office has opened a criminal case and sent the case to investigators for further scrutiny. -0---
