STEPANAKERT, August 31. / ARKA /. The famous Russian operatic soprano Lyubov Kazarnovskaya and young singers from her musical academy Voice and Violin were hosted by the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) capital city Stepanakert this past weekend, NKR ministry of culture said. It said the special guest of the concert was Italian singer Nicola Uliveri.

Lyubov Kazarnovskaya performed for the local audience the famous operatic arias.

The concert was attended by the chairman of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan, the first ladies of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, Anahit Sahakyan and Rita Sargsyan, the minister of culture and youth affairs of NKR Narine Aghabalyan and other officials.

The sponsor of the concert was the Hayk Magakelyan charitable foundation.

Earlier Ms. Kazarnovskaya was blacklisted by Azerbaijan foreign ministry ‘because her recent visit to Karabak violated Azerbaijan’s border law and promoted Armenia’s aggression and occupation.’

However, Ms. Kazarnovskaya downplayed the move saying she went to Nagorno-Karabakh on a cultural mission. Kazarnovskaya said she is happy to keep company with Montserrat Caballe, who was also blacklisted.

Kazarnovskaya is the latest inclusion in the Azeri “blacklist” of more than 300 prominent individuals who have paid “unauthorized” trips to Nagorno-Karabakh.-0-
