Government to buy 175 Toyota vehicles for Patrol Service

YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. The Armenian government on Thursday approved the release of 3.1 billion drams for buying 45 Toyota Fortuner SUVs with manual transmission (each costing 15.9 million drams) and 130 similar vehicles but with automatic transmission (each costing 18.4 million drams) for the Patrol Service. No tender will be announced for the purchase of SUVs, which will be bought from one company.
The vehicles will be provided to the Patrol Service in Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Tavush regions.
PM Nikol Pashinyan said that the tender will not be announced, as all other local car dealers said they could not supply the necessary number of vehicles in the required period.
He also noted that some SUVs will be sent to the Shirak and Lori regions, while their sedans will be sent to the four regions listed above. ($1 - 415.6 drams). -0-
