YEREVAN. November 18. /ARKA/. Armenia's Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan named three main directions for the rehabilitation of servicemen wounded in the Artsakh war.
Torosyan told the parliament that after the end of hostilities, the Ministry of Health has switched to the rehabilitation of the wounded servicemen to help them return to a full life.
The first direction, which the minister outlined, is the full and high-quality use of the entire medical arsenal, part of which requires modernization.
“Much is not in the best condition and requires modernization. This concerns both retraining of personnel and renovation and refurbishment of premises,” Torosyan noted.
According to the minister, the second direction is the creation of a new medical center. “Experience has shown that we need new strength. We are talking about the creation of a new large rehabilitation center with about 250 beds,” Torosyan said.
The third direction is the financing of medical institutions, which, according to preliminary estimates, will require about 2-2.5 billion drams per year.
From September 27 to November 9, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, supported by Turkey and foreign mercenaries and terrorists brought by Turkey from the Middle East, fought against Artsakh using rocket and artillery weapons, heavy armored vehicles, military aircraft and prohibited types of weapons (cluster bombs and phosphorus weapons) . The strikes were carried out, inter alia, at civil and military targets on the territory of Armenia.
On November 9, the leaders of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a statement on the cessation of all hostilities in Artsakh. According to the document, the sides stopped at their positions; the town of Shushi, Agdam, Kelbajar and Lachin regions pass over to Azerbaijan, with the exception of the 5-kilometer corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia.
A Russian peacekeeping contingent is deployed along the contact line in Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor. Internally displaced persons and refugees are returning to Karabakh and adjacent regions, prisoners of war, hostages and other detained persons and bodies of the dead are being exchanged ($1 - 497.38 drams). -0-
