YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Large companies in Armenia are forwarding photo and video reports on a daily basis about disinfection of their premises, Georgy Avetisyan, the head of the Food Safety Inspectorate, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
He said all enterprises were instructed to disinfect hard surfaces, tools, equipment, door handles, cash registers more often than usual, ventilate all rooms, have sanitizers and soap, replace fabric towels with disposable paper towels, and also forbid employees to come to work with symptoms of infection.
Avetisyan also commented on reports about employees of Daroink confectionery company, allegedly infected with coronavirus .
"Immediately after receiving the information, we met with company representatives. Our on-site inspectors found out that the infected person was the manager who did not contact the workers,' he said.
According to Avetisyan, that case could become a hotbed of wider infection, however, company employees did not contact the manager and "the spread of the virus in that company has almost zero risk."
Armenia declared on March 16 a 30-day state of emergency to curb the spread of the disease. Later, it imposed stringent restrictions on the movement of people and also banned some types of economic activity.
As of today morning 853 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Armenia. Eighty-seven patients recovered and eight people died. -0-
