Armenia to allocate 321 million drams for agreement with ICAO and reorganization of Aviation Committee

Armenia plans to sign an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and 321 million drams will be allocated for this purpose, stated RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.
YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. Armenia plans to sign an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and 321 million drams will be allocated for this purpose, stated RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.
According to him, after the adoption of the relevant legal act, the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia will be reorganized.
"This will allow the agency to become more self-sufficient and also create new legal mechanisms for involving foreign partners in the Committee, taking into account their experience, in order to improve the structure's effectiveness," Khudatyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, stated that the issue is long overdue.
He stated that it is necessary to take into account the current reality and acknowledge the existing knowledge deficit in modern aviation systems, which requires an appropriate response.
"To fill this gap, unconventional solutions are needed, including the involvement of relevant specialists to reorganize the Civil Aviation Committee," Pashinyan said. ($1 - 372.38 drams).
