Most of Armenians welcome new prime minister’s activity

A recent public opinion survey conducted by Gallup International Association’s Armenian representation has found that approximately 85.1% of Armenian citizens assess positively the activity of the new prime minister Karen Karapetyan.
YEREVAN, November 24. /ARKA/. A recent public opinion survey conducted by Gallup International Association’s Armenian representation has found that approximately 85.1% of Armenian citizens assess positively the activity of the new prime minister Karen Karapetyan.
According to the survey’s findings, unveiled by Aram Navasardyan, the head of the Armenian office of Gallup International Association, some 30% of respondents assess the activity of Karapetyan as absolutely positive, 56.2% - rather positive and only 3.7% described it as rather negative. Some 9.5% found it difficult to answer the question.
According to Navasardyan, approximately 86.1% of respondents said they were positive about president Serzh Sargsyan’s decision to appoint Karen Karapetyan as prime minister.
According to Navasardyan, 73.9% of respondents described the recent reforms in the Armenian government as positive, 12.5% - as negative, and 13.6% of respondents could not answer the question.
Some 44.2% of respondents believe that the new government will be able to improve the country's economy in the next six months through tangible steps, while 24.5% believe that the new government will not be able to register tangible results in the mentioned period.
The survey was conducted on November 2-16 embracing some 1,104 people from all over Armenia (the statistical error margin is about 3%). - 0-
