Over 740,000 people in Armenia receive two shots of Covid-19 vaccine

YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. Armenian health officials have recorded 126 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, saying the total number of confirmed cases rose to 345,981 as of January 10 morning.
According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 3 people have died from Covid-19 during the past 24 hours. The total tally of such deaths is now 8,004.
Some 99 patients have recovered. Overall, 3,433 people have tested for the infection in the last 24 hours, it said
In total, 2,608,149 coronavirus tests have been administered in the country of 3 million since March 1, 2020, when the first case was detected. Since then 332,985 patients have recovered, and 3,480 patients are being treated currently at hospitals and their homes.
As of January 9, a total of 1,694,518 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Armenia since last April, when the vaccination began, the Ministry of Health said today.
It said some 952,813 people have received the first doze and 740,489 citizens both. Also, 1,216 people have received the third, booster shot.
Armenia uses CoronaVac and Sinopharm (China), AstraZeneca (UK, Sweden), Sputnik V (Russia), Sputnik Light (Russia) and Spikevax (Moderna, USA) vaccines
On November 11, the government of Armenia extended the coronavirus quarantine until June 20, 2022.
The nationwide quarantine was first imposed on September 11, 2020 replacing the state of emergency that was declared on March 16 to stop the spread of coronavirus. -0-
