Twelve medical centers in Armenia under renovation and construction

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the status of capital expenditure programs in the healthcare sector, designed for 2020, the press service of the government said.
YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the status of capital expenditure programs in the healthcare sector, designed for 2020, the press service of the government said.
It said Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan reported on the construction of medical centers in Martuni and Yeghegnadzor. According to the minister, the ministry is preparing to announce soon tenders for another programs worth 5.1 billion drams.
In addition, repair, construction and re-equipment of another 12 medical centers in the country is underway, worth 18.5 billion drams.
According to the minister, another 3.8 billion drams are to be spent on the purchase of the necessary equipment.
Pashinyan was quoted as saying that these programs should be implemented in time and with high quality. The Prime Minister emphasized that capital expenditure programs should ensure 'capital' result and create new jobs, especially in the construction sector. ($1 - 480 drams) -0-
