YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. The unified ambulance service in Armenia will begin to operate in January 2025, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan announced today.

According to her, the reform of the national ambulance service has already begun, and ambulance calls will be served by the nearest ambulance teams in the regions of Armenia.

“Now a physically closer crew cannot serve a call, since it is subordinate to another medical center. We are changing the entire principle of service,” the minister explained.

According to her, Gyumri Ambulance CJSC has already been created, which serves the entire Shirak region. “The next region where this program will be implemented will be Aragatsotn,” Avanesyan said.

According to the minister, ambulance services in Syunik and Gegharkunik regions will be provided with smaller, more economical vehicles. -0-
