Yerevan municipality increases number of beneficiaries and free transport users

YEREVAN, February 11. /ARKA/. The right to purchase discounted transport tickets is also planned to be extended to pensioners and benefit recipients who are not registered in Yerevan. This was announced by Suren Grigoryan, Deputy Mayor of the Armenian capital, during a meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders on Tuesday.

According to him, the city administration proposes granting free travel rights to children with disabilities. Currently, free travel is also available for individuals with four or more minor children registered in Yerevan.

"This proposal suggests that parents, regardless of the age of their children, will be granted free travel rights," Grigoryan said.
