Ameria’s fifth charity auction underway in Yerevan
YEREVAN, December 12. / ARKA /. The fifth traditional charity auction conducted by Ameria Group of companies in the run-up to New Year is underway in Yerevan. The proceeds from the auction will be provided for the treatment of children suffering from cancer, hematological diseases, idiopathic arthritis and other diseases requiring emergency treatment.

The charity auction with the symbolic name "Sports for Life" has brought together famous Armenian and foreign athletes who donated their sports equipment and uniforms with their autographs to the auction.

‘The previous four charity auctions have raised around 300 million drams that were instrumental in saving over 100 children lives,” Ameriabank CEO, Artak Hanesyan told reporters.

The fifth auction organized with the assistance from Mega Sport company and Project Hope Fund is featuring over 20 lots, particularly, the boxing gloves of Arthur Abraham, Vic Darchinyan, Rhonda Rose, Oscar De La Hoya, Alex Miskirtchian, as well as uniforms and football balls  with  autographs of the Armenian national soccer team and other articles owned by other famous athletes.

The event is  being  attended by renowned athletes and GMs - Greco-Roman Wrestling Olympic champion and  World and European Championships gold medalist Levon Julfalakyan, three-time Olympic champion in gymnastics, four-time world champion and two-time European champion Albert Azarian, Olympic chess champion grandmaster Tigran Petrosian, vice president of the Armenian Chess Federation Smbat Lputyan and other famous athletes.-0-
