Armenia wins over UAE in a football friendly

Armenia’s national football team won over the team of the United Arab Emirates 4:3 in a friendly in Geneva on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Armenia’s national football team won over the team of the United Arab Emirates 4:3 in a friendly in Geneva on Tuesday.
Goals from the Armenian team were hit by halfback of Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan (41,66), back of Widzew Lodz Levon Hayrapetyan (37) and halfback of Banants Yerevan Rumyan Hovsepyan (71). The UAE goals were hit by Ismail Ahmed (40), Abdulrahman (51) and Modamad Salem (85).
This was the first game of the Armenian national headed by the new head coach Swiss Bernard Shalande.
Armenian footballers are to face also Algeria in Zion on May 31 and Germans in Maintz on June 6.
Armenia is in Group I and will play against Portugal, Denmark, Serbia and Albania. –0—
