Armenian investigators reveal $200,000 embezzlement at Football Federation

Armenia's Investigative Committee said it has revealed 98.8 million drams worth embezzlement (about $200 thousand) at the Football Federation of Armenia.

YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's Investigative Committee said it has revealed 98.8 million drams worth embezzlement (about $200 thousand) at the Football Federation of Armenia.
It said the director of the Technical Center-Academy in 2010-2019, having previously reached an agreement with the director of Noralusin company, which belongs to the ex-head of Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan, entered into an agreement on holding training camps of academy students at the recreation area and hotel Zepyur. According to the Investigative Committee, as a result of the agreement, 98.8 million drams were embezzled.
It said both directors were charged with embezzlement and forgery. Bail was chosen as a preventive measure against them.
A suspect or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty according to a court ruling that has entered into legal force, in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia. -0-
