Challande picks up 17 players for away match versus Albania

The head coach of Armenia's national football team Bernard Challande has picked up seventeen players, all playing for foreign clubs, to prepare for an away match against Albanians in the European championship qualifying game, scheduled to take place on March 29 in the city of Elbasan.

The head coach of Armenia's national football team Bernard Challande has picked up seventeen players, all playing for foreign clubs, to prepare for an away match against Albanians in the European championship qualifying game, scheduled to take place on March 29 in the city of Elbasan.
The players are Roman Berezovsky - Dynamo (Moscow), Hovhannes Hambardzumyan - Vardar (Macedonia), Robert Arzumanyan - Amkar (Perm, Russia), Hrayr Mkoyan - Esteghlal (Iran), Karlen Mkrtchyan - Tobol (Kazakhstan), Arthur Yedigaryan - Dynamo (Minsk, Belarus), Artak Yedigaryan - Zalgiris (Lithuania), Edgar Manucharyan - Ural (Ekaterinburg, Russia), Gevorg Ghazaryan – Corfu (Greece), Henrik Mkhitaryan - Borussia (Dortmund, Germany), Marcos Pizzelli - Aktobe (Kazakhstan), Artur Sarkisov - Volga (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia), Yura Movsisyan - Spartak (Moscow), Norayr Aslanyan -Almere City (Netherlands), Artyom Simonyan -Zurich (Switzerland), Gael Andonian Olympic (Marseille) and Ruslan Koryan -Locomotive (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). Challande will unveil the players playing for Armenian clubs later.
The president of Armenia’s football federation Ruben Hayrapetyan said earlier he would sack Bernard Challande if the team fails to record an away win over Albanians.
The Armenian national team is in the same group with Danes, Portuguese, Albanians and Serbians. Denmark is the leader with seven points after four matches. Portugal is with 6 points (3 matches, Albanians have 4 points (3 matches). They are followed by Armenia and Serbia each with 1 point after 3 matches. -0-
