Henrik Mkhitarian wants to join super club

Henrik Mkhitarian, the midfielder of Armenian national soccer team and Shakhtar FC in Ukrainian Donetsk, said Wednesday at a meeting with students of the Economic University of Armenia, that he will do anything to join one of the super clubs this summer.

YEREVAN, March 20. / ARKA /. Henrik Mkhitarian, the midfielder of Armenian national soccer team and Shakhtar FC in Ukrainian Donetsk, said Wednesday at a meeting with students of the Economic University of Armenia, that he will do anything to join one of the super clubs this summer.

"To play for the strongest clubs in the world is a dream of every footballer and I will do everything possible to move this summer to such a  club," he said. He said if he fails, then he will definitely try to do it next year.

"If you play well, and you are being watched by coaches, then joining another club is always a step forward," Mkhitarian said.

Mkhitarian was with other players of the national team Yura Movsisyan, Boris Berezovsky and the president of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan.  The rector of the university Koryun Atoyan handed a commemorative statute to the captain of the national team Roman Berezovsky.

Armenian national team will host peers from the Czech Republic in FIFA World Cup qualifying match on March 26. If Armenia wins it will significantly improve its standing in FIFA ranking. Armenia is in Group B together with Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Malta. Italians who scored ten points after four games are the leaders. Bulgarians scored six points in four games. They are followed by the Czechs with five points after three games.  

The Armenia vs. Czech Reepublic match will be judged by Romanian referee team led by Paul Balay. He will be aided by Kristian Nika and Sebastian George. -0-
