Armenian grand master Levon Aronian has retained his title of the fourth best player in the world in the FIDE rating for the 2016 February with 2,792 scores.
YEREVAN, February 1. /ARKA/. Armenian grand master Levon Aronian has retained his title of the fourth best player in the world in the FIDE rating for the 2016 February with 2,792 scores.
The rating of the 100 best chess players includes also three Armenian chess players - Gabriel Sargsyan (45th with 2,702 scores), Vladimir Hakobyan (94th with 2,656 scores) and Sergei Movsesian (98th with 2,653 scores).
The list of one hundred strongest women chess players includes Armenian Elina Danielyan (43rd with 2,445 scores) and Lilit Mkrtchyan (48th with 2,434 scores).
In March Levon Aronian will take part in Candidates Tournament, which will determine the player who will fight for the world champion tile versus Norwegian Magnus Carlsen.-0-
