Young Armenians to participate in winter Olympic games Sochi-2014 as volunteers

YEREVAN, December 7. /ARKA/. Armenian students said at a skype conference that they want to participate in the winter Olympic games in Sochi as volunteers, press service of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Cooperation) office in Armenia reported.

The skype conference on Russian-Armenian volunteering experience was held at the Armenian office of Rossotrudnichestvo on December 5, the international day of volunteer.

For participation in the Olympic games, members of “Para Olympic” volunteer center advised young Armenians to fill in the form at http://vol.sochi2014.com/become_volunteer/#page10m, says the report.

Among participants of the conference were members of “Para Olympic” volunteer center of the Russian State Social University (Moscow) and representatives of Russian-Armenian organizations (Russian-Armenian Youth Alliance, All-Armenian Youth Movement, Association of Students of Russian Higher School Armenian branches and Russian-Armenian Youth Unity).

Participants of the video conference exchanged views on volunteer events in Russia and Armenia, on the role of volunteer initiatives 

in resolving problems of children, teenagers, the disabled and the aged.

Head of the Association of Students of Russian Higher School Armenian branches Margretta Mirzoyan presented “Our joint victory” volunteer project to her Russian colleagues and told them about video archive of Great Patriotic War Veterans of Armenia.

Director of Para Olympic volunteer center of the Russian State Social University Natalyan Gorlova, in her turn, shared her experience of social projects with the disabled. –0--
