The South Caucasus Railways (SCR), a Russian company operating Armenia’s railroads is one of 90 local companies showcasing their products and services at the 9th Digitec Expo 2013 that has opened today in Yerevan.

YEREVAN, October 4. / ARKA /. The South Caucasus Railways (SCR), a Russian company operating Armenia’s railroads is one of 90 local companies showcasing their products and services at the 9th Digitec Expo 2013 that has opened today in Yerevan. 

The company’s press service said it has partnered with GNC-ALFA telecom to share the same pavilion.

SCR CEO Victor Rebets presented to President Serzh Sargsyan, who took part in the opening of the exhibition, the innovation projects implemented by the company. Particulalry, he told the president that all electric locomotives are equipped with special cameras, allowing controlling their movement. Cameras are installed also at health facilities where locomotive crews are examined before and after work.

Viktor Rebets also had meetings with representatives of Lanar Company and head of Microsoft Armenia Grigor Barseghyan, who thanked the company for using exclusively licensed products of Microsoft.
Rebets and Barseghyan agreed also that the SCR will send 5 specialists of its computing center to have a training course with Microsoft Armenia.

The exhibition, organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, and with the support of USAID’s EDMC program. GNC-ALFA telecom (trading as Rostelecom ) is the platinum sponsor of the exhibition; the official sponsor is Questrade International Inc., the sponsor is Satis company and ARKA news agency is one of information sponsors. -0-
