Armenia ranked 8th in the rating of the safest countries, ahead of all neighbouring states
YEREVAN, 10 January. /ARKA/. Armenia has entered the top 10 safest countries in the world, according to Numbeo's 2025 Security Index.
The Republic of Armenia ranked 8th with 77.9 points (last year Armenia occupied the same line), surpassing all the countries of the region.
Thus, Georgia is on the 21st place (73.7 points), Azerbaijan - 33rd (68.2 points), Russia - 51st (61.3 points), Turkey - 57th (58.8 points), and Iran - 93rd (49.5 points).
Andorra (84.7 points), UAE (84.5 points), Qatar (84.2), Taiwan (82.9 points), Oman (81.7 points), Isle of Man (79 points), Hong Kong (78.5 points) took the first lines of the rating. Singapore (77.4 points) and Japan (77.1 points) round out the top 10, behind Armenia.
The outsiders of the list are Haiti (145th place), Papua New Guinea (146th) and Venezuela (147th). The ranking includes only countries and territories with a population of more than 1 million. -0-
