The number of bookings of accommodation facilities by Russian tourists in Armenia for August 2026 increased by 42% compared to the same period last year, according to a joint study by Ingosstrakh and online hotel and apartment booking service Ostrovok.

YEREVAN, 13 August. /ARKA/. The number of bookings of accommodation facilities by Russian tourists in Armenia for August 2026 increased by 42% compared to the same period last year, according to a joint study by Ingosstrakh and online hotel and apartment booking service Ostrovok.

Armenia also entered the top ten most popular foreign destinations among Russian travelers by number of bookings for August.

In addition, the top 10 included Belarus, Abkhazia, Georgia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Italy, Uzbekistan, China and Japan.

Among the countries of the region, the highest growth rates of bookings were recorded in Azerbaijan — at 49%. In Georgia the figure increased by 40%, in Kazakhstan - by 30%, in Uzbekistan - by 29%, and in Abkhazia - by 26%.-0-
