Armenia among top three countries for number of visits to Georgia in first half of the year

Armenian citizens made approximately 360,000 visits to Georgia from January to June 2026, ranking third among foreign visitors to the country, according to data from the Georgian National Tourism Administration.

Russians led the way in terms of number of visits to Georgia, making 610,800 trips in the first half of the year. Turkish citizens came in second with 525,400 visits.
Israel (146,600 visits) and Azerbaijan (133,300) also made the top five. They were followed by Ukraine (69,500) and Kazakhstan (66,500).
In the first six months of 2026, foreign citizens visited Georgia more than 3 million times, a 3.3% decrease compared to the same period last year.
According to the National Tourism Administration, 83.1% of all international visits were tourist trips that included at least one overnight stay in the country.
