The United States Embassy in Armenia said it is introducing some restrictions on visa services as of Wednesday due to coronavirus outbreak.
YEREVAN, March 19, /ARKA/. The United States Embassy in Armenia said it is introducing some restrictions on visa services as of Wednesday due to coronavirus outbreak.
According to a statement on the Embassy’s website, the restrictions are effective from March 17 and are dictated by the measures to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The measures include recommendations to refrain from participating in crowded events or organizing such events, providing some employees with the opportunity to work remotely to reduce social contacts, reducing the number of embassy visitors and observing strict hygiene rules, such as frequent hand washing.
According to the Embassy, in case of urgent questions or the need for immediate departure to the United States, applicants must follow the instructions on the website https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-am/niv/, or contact the Embassy by phone +374 60 465 986, by email at esee_contactus+am+info+en@visaops.net to request an emergency appointment.
The Embassy said the purpose of the intended trip and other facts will determine the type of visa that is required by US immigration law. Applicants need to make sure that they meet all the requirements for obtaining a visa of the category which they claim - 0- -
