‘According to my estimates, there are losses of $1 million per week in the virtual domain. The number of people, victims of scams, who write to me, reaches dozens,’ says information security expert Samvel Martirosyan.
According to him, unfortunately, there are no statistics. ‘We do not have a real picture of cybercrimes in the virtual domain. It is obvious that the situation is very bad, perhaps catastrophic, but since there are no statistics, it seems that everything is fine, but it is not so. Thousands of people become victims of fake investment ads on the Internet, and here the state's share of the blame is paramount.’
