Armenian law restricts cash payments to 300,000 drams

A set of amendments to the law on noncash payments and a number of related laws passed today by the parliament of Armenia in the second and final reading require that all transactions worth 300,000 drams ($625) and more made by individuals are to be carried out noncash.

Armenia shifts to cashless method of pension payment

Armenia's Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Tatevik Stepanyan said at a government meeting today that starting from July 1, 2021, all pensioners in the capital Yerevan and in the second and third largest towns of Gyumri and Vanadzor will start receiving their pensions on their bank cards.
