Ameriabank has summed up today the 'Smart Account, Smartphone" advertising campaign, which ran from November 4 to December 10.
YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. Ameriabank has summed up today the 'Smart Account, Smartphone" advertising campaign, which ran from November 4 to December 10. The customers who opened a "Smart" account with Ameriabank during that time span were eligible to take part in a raffle and win an IPhone X smartphone.
The advertising campaign attracted about 2,000 people, according to Grigor Davtyan, head of Ameriabank’s Digital Banking Service. However, the service, which was first launched in 2018 November, has been used so far by several thousand customers.
The campaign’s goal was to encourage customers to register remotely and open a Smart account with the bank. All were given the opportunity to receive a MasterCard Gold payment card with free service and an Internet banking system.
“The service allows customers to save time, get free services at any time and day of the week. Moreover, in order to register with the system, there is no need to visit the bank. It can also be done remotely,” Davtyan said.
He said the bank has been expanding the range of distance services. For example, this year it has launched online lending for individuals and legal entities and plans to develop various online platforms next year to enable customers to get access to various loan products.
The winner of the raffle was chosen from the numbers provided to new subscribers of the remote system via SMS-messages. The winner was under the number "0818". In addition, Ameriabank also decided to make surprises to three new customers who participated in the campaign but did not win and who celebrate their birthday today.
A “smart” account allows any resident of Armenia to open an account remotely without visiting the bank. He needs only to photograph his/her passport and take a selfie, after which a special program will identify and compare the data received. The client also needs to fill out several personal data, including a contact number and the email, after which he/she will receive a special code to connect to the account.
As part of the service, the client may open an account and perform the necessary transactions without visiting the bank, as well as use banking services. At the same time, in order to protect data, each time for identification the client will need to take a selfie and photograph the passport and only then receive a special code on the phone to enter the system.
The serial number of the winning customer will be published on the bank’s official website and on its Facebook page. The winner will be contacted by the phone number registered in the bank and / or by e-mail.
