Armenia and Turkmenistan discuss gas and energy cooperation

Armenia’s deputy minister of energy infrastructure and natural resources Hayk Harutyunyan was in Turkmenistan for natural gas and electricity negotiations, the press service of the Armenian ministry said.
YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Armenia’s deputy minister of energy infrastructure and natural resources Hayk Harutyunyan was in Turkmenistan for natural gas and electricity negotiations, the press service of the Armenian ministry said.
It said in Turkmenistan Harutyunyan had meetings with Turkmen energy minister Purchekov and the chairman of Turkmengaz state company M.Babaev. Harutyunyan is quoted as saying in a press release that he discussed the possibility of buying Turkmen energy resources, particularly gas and electricity.
"There is a mutual interest for cooperation. The Turkmen side is interested in the Armenian experience of operating vehicles working on gas," he said. -0-
