Armenia is attractive for Swiss investors, DFA head says

Armenia is an attractive country for Swiss investments, according to Armen Avak Avakyan, the Executive Director of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA), who participated today in an Armenian-Swiss business meeting in Yerevan , held as part of the visit of the Chairman of the National Council of Switzerland Dominique de Buman to Armenia.
YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. Armenia is an attractive country for Swiss investments, according to Armen Avak Avakyan, the Executive Director of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA), who participated today in an Armenian-Swiss business meeting in Yerevan , held as part of the visit of the Chairman of the National Council of Switzerland Dominique de Buman to Armenia.
The two-day business gathering is featuring , apart from the bilateral agenda, also a presentation of Armenia’s investment potential.
"Armenia and its market are attractive for Swiss investments. The gathering features 14 Swiss companies, which are interested in investing in Armenia’s IT, tourism and winemaking sectors," Avakyan said.
He said also that being a member of the Eurasian Economic Union Armenia enjoys the GSP + trade regime with the European Union, and has also opened recently the free trade zone in Meghri on the border with Iran, which can be used by business owners to advance their goods and services in the region. -0-
