Armenia’s grand candy earns AMD 23 billion in 2016

YEREVAN, March 24. /ARKA/. Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister, visited Thursday Grand Candy, a company producing sweets.

The company’s general indicators and future programs were presented to him.

Karapetyan was informed that the company earned AMD 23 billion in 2016 and exported 1,430 tons of confectionery. In 2015, it made investments totaling $9 million.

As many as 3,000 people work for the company now, and their number increases in certain seasons.

The average monthly salary is AMD 160,000.

The company’s facilities are operating by using advanced technologies and equipment. A quality surveillance system has been introduced here.

The premier was also informed that the Grand Candy intends to build up its exports by 100% this year and to establish another company at a super-national level.

Karapetyan stressed the importance of the company’s activity and wished it success in implementation of its programs.
