Armenian government reduces duty on whiskey production and revokes license for beer and wine production
YEREVAN, January 12. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved today a decision designed to simplify production of alcoholic beverages.
In particular, it has revoked the requirement for obtaining a license for production of beer, wine, alcoholic beverages made of apple, other fruits and honey, liqueurs and other beverages with alcohol content up to 9%, sale and import of unbottled cognac (brandy) in the amount starting from 100 thousand liters.
"Revoking license requirement will make it easier for companies or entrepreneurs to enter the market and will relieve them from unnecessary, in our opinion, paperwork," Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said.
Besides, as he noted, the state duty on production of whiskey, rum and gin will be reduced from the current 15 million drams to 3 million drams. ($1 - 395.96 drams). --0--
