Armenian mining companies made last year a total of $235 million worth investments, the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources said today.

YEREVAN, February 9. /ARKA/. Armenian mining companies made last year a total of $235 million worth investments, the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources said today. It said about 3 billion drams worth investments will be made in the next 3 years by mining companies, which were awarded last year prospecting permits.
The ministry said in contrast to the extracted metal ore, the volume of which practically did not change last year from the previous one, the produced commodity output increased by about 30%. The growth was driven mainly by the rise in the prices of mining goods in international markets.
The new reserves of confirmed metal minerals last year amounted to about 5 million tons of ore, the ministry said. ($ 1 - 483.11 drams). -0-
