Armzon to showcase Armenian products in Russia

The Armenian forwarding company Spayka has developed an electronic platform "Armzon" for Armenian producers and processing companies to showcase their products for buyers in Russia, deputy minister of agriculture Robert Makaryan said.
YEREVAN June 7. /ARKA/. The Armenian forwarding company Spayka has developed an electronic platform Armzon (armzon.ru) for Armenian producers and processing companies to showcase their products for buyers in Russia, deputy minister of agriculture Robert Makaryan said.
"Armzon" is a large-scale program that will allow Armenian producers to present their products and sell them in Moscow and Krasnodar," Makaryan told a press conference.
According to him, "Armzon" will not only help small companies to save money on marketing of their products, but also to receive immediately money from sales.
He also said a structure will be established for coordinating the export of agricultural products. "The goal of this structure will be to consolidate and organize the export of products of small and medium-sized enterprises. When these enterprises become independent and will be able to solve the problems related to sales, the government will step aside. Our main goal is to ensure quality, sales and logistics services," said Makaryan.
Makaryan added that this year Armenian companies have exported 31,500 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables to Russia and 1000 tons to Georgia and the United Arab Emirates.
According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia’s total exports in January-April 2017 surged by over 16% when compared to the same period in 2016, to $608.3 million. --0--
