YEREVAN, August 1 /ARKA/. The government of Armenia made a decision today to relocate a customs office that deals with customs clearance of imported cars to the second-largest town of Gyumri, near the border with Georgia,
To finance the relocation, the government will release 181 million drams, of which about 41 million drams will be allocated for payment of geodetic survey services, and 140 million drams for the purchase of equipment, according to David Ananyan, the head of the State Revenue Committee.
He said the decision to relocate the customs office to Gyumri was prompted by unprecedented growth in the number of cars imported from the countries which are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
