Yerevan and London discuss establishing direct flights; timelines announced
YEREVAN, February 10. /ARKA/. On Tuesday, David Khudatyan, the Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, met with Alexandra Cole, the British Ambassador to Armenia, to discuss the initiation of direct flights between Yerevan and London, set to commence in June 2026.
Both parties highlighted the significance of this air route, which is expected to enhance the relationship between the two nations in trade, economic, and tourism sectors.
"I stressed the importance of the progressive development of relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom. The Ambassador remarked that Armenian-British relations have reached a level of strategic partnership," Khudatyan shared on Facebook.
The Minister and the Ambassador also reviewed infrastructure programs. Khudatyan mentioned that his ministry is executing a significant infrastructure initiative and expressed optimism regarding the involvement of British firms in these projects and international tenders.
Additionally, they discussed the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative.-0-
