Armenia and Egypt Discuss Expanding Trade and Investment Cooperation

Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and Egyptian Ambassador to Armenia Amal Afifi agreed to take practical steps to further expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
YEREVAN, September 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and Egyptian Ambassador to Armenia Amal Afifi agreed to take practical steps to further expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, during the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of expanding economic cooperation between Armenia and Egypt, increasing bilateral trade, and intensifying business ties.
In the context of expanding market access and strengthening business ties, particular importance was attached to organizing B2B meetings between representatives of the two countries' business communities, as well as exchanging information on import procedures and certification requirements.
The parties also discussed opportunities for investment cooperation and prospects for implementing joint projects within free economic zones.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue work on the discussed areas and take practical steps to further develop economic cooperation between Armenia and Egypt.
