YEREVAN, August 18. /ARКА/. Armenia demonstrated the highest growth rates of freight and passenger traffic among Eurasian Economic Union countries in the first half of 2026.

According to data from the Eurasian Economic Commission, passenger traffic in Armenia increased by 7.3% from January to June 2026 compared to the same period last year.

For comparison, growth in Belarus was 7.2%, in Kazakhstan - 5.1%, and in Kyrgyzstan 4.9%. Overall, passenger traffic across the EAEU increased by 0.5%.

Armenia also leads in freight traffic growth. In the first half of the year, freight traffic increased by 12.1%. In Kyrgyzstan, freight traffic grew by 3.1%, in Kazakhstan by 2%, and in Belarus by 1.5%.

Russia recorded a decrease in passenger traffic from January to June 2026: passenger traffic by 0.9% and freight traffic by 0.6%.-0-
