For the period of January to August 2025, the domestic trade turnover in Armenia was recorded at 4,140,619.6 million drams (at current prices), which represents a 3.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, October 8. /ARKA/. For the period of January to August 2025, the domestic trade turnover in Armenia was recorded at 4,140,619.6 million drams (at current prices), which represents a 3.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, as reported by the Statistical Committee.

In August 2025, this figure stood at 589,559.8 million drams, marking a rise of 1.7% in comparison to August 2024, and an increase of 1.2% relative to July of 2025.

Overall, the wholesale trade turnover for the reporting period totaled 2,717,174.5 million drams (with a share of 65.6%, showing a growth of 3.4% compared to the previous year), while the retail trade turnover was 1,260,181.0 million drams (with a share of 30.4%, indicating a growth of 4.6%), and the automobile trade turnover reached 163,264.1 million drams (with a share of 4%, reflecting a growth of 6%).

Within the retail trade structure, the share of shops constituted 83.5% of the total retail turnover (with a volume of 1,052,211.9 million drams, showing a growth of 4%), the share of consumer goods markets was 3.4% (42,597.8 million drams, experiencing a decline of 3.5%), kiosks accounted for 1.2% (15,023.5 million drams, with a growth of 1.1%), agricultural produce markets represented 0.8% (10,725.3 million drams, reflecting a growth of 5.3%), and other trade facilities made up 11.1% (139,622.5 million drams, with a growth of 12.4%).
