Armenia’s real 2022 GDP growth may exceed 13%- Finance Minister
YEREVAN, December 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan said today while presenting the draft budget for 2023 in the parliament that the real GDP growth in 2022 may exceed 13%.
"As a result, Armenia's GDP in dollar terms may exceed $19bn and GDP per capita $6,500, which is $1,800 higher than last year," he said.
Armenian government’s initial growth projection for this year was 7%, while inflation was set at 4% (±1.5%).
Armenia's GDP grew by 14.8% year-on-year in the third quarter of the current year, according to the official numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
In current prices, the country's GDP amounted to about 2.4 trillion drams, while per capita GDP in current prices amounted to 802,116 drams, or $1,963 and 1,949 euros.
The Central Bank of Armenia revised earlier its growth forecast to 12.9% and inflation to 10%. -0-
