Armenia to present concrete investment projects to German investors

YEREVAN, August 28. /ARKA/. The Armenian side will present concrete investment projects and proposals to German investors, Anna Naghdalyan, acting press secretary for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
Visiting Armenia on August 24-25 for the first time German Chancellor Angela Merkel praised Armenian authorities for developing closer relations with the European Union remaining at the same time an ally of Russia.
“Our relations are very good but can deepen further,” Merkel told a joint news conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan after talks. She said Germany would welcome closer commercial and cultural ties with Armenia.
'The fact that the Merkel-led delegation included many businessmen testifies to Germany’s intention to deepen bilateral trade and economic contacts with Armenia. In this context concrete agreements were reached both on investments and joint programs," Naghdalyan said. -0-
