Azerbaijani soldiers set pastures and hayfields of Armenian villages to fire

About 270 hectares of pastures and 150 hectares of hayfields were burned in 4 villages of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia by the fires set by the Azerbaijani military from August 29 to September 1, Armenian human rights defender Arman Tatoyan said on his Facebook page.

YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. About 270 hectares of pastures and 150 hectares of hayfields were burned in 4 villages of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia by the fires set by the Azerbaijani military from August 29 to September 1, Armenian human rights defender Arman Tatoyan said on his Facebook page.

According to him, 150 hectares of pastures and 60 hectares of hayfields were burned in the village of Kut, 20 and 10 hectares respectively in the village of Azat, 80 and 70 hectares respectively in the village of Sotk and 20 and 10 hectares respectively in the village of Norabak. He also said that the hay prepared for livestock for the winter had been burned.

"The actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces against the civilian population of the Republic of Armenia prove that they are becoming more and more dangerous. They are criminal acts and have a direct intention to harm people, and violations of the local population’s rights are massive," Tatoyan said.

The fires were extinguished by 43 firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia on September 2 overnight.-0-
