YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. Direct flights on the Yerevan-London-Yerevan route are planned to be launched in 2026, announced Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.
"This will be a long-awaited event. Several airlines will also launch flights to Brussels, as well as to the Netherlands. We also plan to fully utilize the potential of Shirak Airport in Gyumri. In addition to flights to Larnaca, we are also discussing flights to Russia," Khudatyan noted at a government meeting on Thursday.
The minister reported that last year, 48 airlines from Armenia operated flights to 70 destinations. Passenger traffic increased by 5.7 million.
