Domestic trade turnover in Armenia in 2024 exceeded 6.3 trillion drams with a growth of 17%

YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. The domestic trade turnover in Armenia for 2024 amounted to 6,378,265.3 million drams (at current prices), reflecting a 17% increase compared to 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.
In December 2024, this figure reached 774,343.0 million drams, which is a 10.3% increase compared to December 2023 and a 24.3% rise compared to November of the same year.
In total, the wholesale trade turnover for the past year amounted to 4,187,335.1 million drams (with a share of 65.7%), showing a growth of 23.4% compared to the same period of the previous year. The retail trade turnover reached 1,942,057.6 million drams (with a share of 30.4%), growing by 7.9%, while the automobile trade turnover totaled 248,872.6 million drams (with a share of 3.9%), experiencing a decline of 4.3%.
Within the structure of retail trade, the share of shops accounted for 83.7% of the total retail turnover (amounting to 1,625,444.2 million drams, with a growth of 9.5%). The share of consumer goods markets was 3.6% (70,403.4 million drams, growing by 2.1%), kiosks accounted for 1.2% (22,445.0 million drams, growing by 2.6%), agricultural markets made up 0.9% (16,850.4 million drams, with a decline of 3.6%), and other trade facilities represented 10.6% (206,914.6 million drams, with a slight decline of 0.2%).
