YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. Gazprom did not raise the issue of raising gas prices in Armenia, stated RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.

"We have no information about a gas price increase," Khudatyan assured reporters on Thursday, according to Azatutyun.

The minister said that Gazprom had not raised the issue of revising gas tariffs at all.
Some Armenian media outlets have reported that Gazprom allegedly approached the Armenian government about changing the gas price.

Earlier, on April 1 in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Pashinyan that Russian gas is cheaper for Armenia than the same fuel in Europe. According to him, gas prices in Europe are currently "off the charts at over $600 per thousand cubic meters, while Russia sells gas to Armenia for $177.5 per thousand cubic meters."
On April 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, commenting on the possible increase in the price of Russian natural gas for Armenia, stated that Armenia and Russia have long-term contracts, and they will not be violated.
