YEREVAN, October 30. /ARКА/. Gevorg Papoyan, the Armenian Economy Minister, who is presently in Germany, engaged with over 40 German business leaders.

The minister outlined the various opportunities and resources present in Armenia's investment landscape, as reported by the Ministry of Economy's press service.

He specifically addressed the economic collaboration between the two nations, focusing on sectors such as agriculture, energy, entrepreneurship development, technology, and telecommunications.

"Germany is already a significant economic ally for Armenia, but I firmly believe that the true potential has yet to be tapped," Papoyan remarked.

He stated that Armenia aims to invigorate bilateral trade and investment relations by promoting direct investments from Germany and enhancing cooperation in fields like infrastructure, renewable energy, water management, agriculture, innovation, and technology.

During the meeting, the minister also responded to inquiries from attendees and considered their suggestions. The meeting was attended by Armenian Ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan and Deputy Minister of Economy Anushik Avetyan.

As per Armstat, Armenia's trade turnover with Germany for the first eight months of 2025 reached $297.3 million, reflecting a decrease of 5.3%. While exports surged by 77.4% to $71.39 million, imports fell by 17.4%, totaling $225.9 million.-0-
